It is February. People said love is in the air. For me, most romantic month definitely October. It's my hubby's birthday and our wedding anniversary. So, instead of making valentine's project, I choose making a love-themed layout dedicated to my special month: October.
Then I found out that Creating Keepsakes, one of favorite magazine, held a weekly challenge. They require every contestant to incorporate a calender into a layout. Wow, what an amazing inspiration! I'm thinking of layout with "October" wording and they add the level of creativity. Without any further waiting, I grab my stash and start scrapping. And after about 3 hours, here's what I've got:
It's a romantic-vintage look with soft color. I use WebsterPage's Hollywood Vogue as base paper. For this layout, I only use 1 paper :) Let me show some details:
This is my calendar :) I use as focal point. I downloaded this calendar from Creating Keepsakes and print the September and October part. Then I clip those two pieces of calendar and fold the September backward. Here's what I've got, a shape that looks like hanging calendar. Hope you like it :)
I use chipboards here..yey..love it! To make it more romantic, I'm coloring those chipboards with acrylic paint. Light purple and deep red that I blend on my own.
Full of buttons and flowers! I bought buttons from market, with cheap price, and use Prima flowers. Really really want to make flowers of my own (again). Maybe tomorrow, it's weekend anyway :)
At least...I'm making my own leaves..yippieeee... I cut felts into leaf shape, and hand-stitch it! It suits to my layout *very happy*
October 2nd, the day I shall never forget. See you on my next projects :)

Gorgeous project. Love all the yummy chipboard pieces. It's not easy having a birthday and Anniversary in the same month. Our Anniversary, my birthday and Valentines are all within a 2 week span... yikes! Awesome job, very inspiring.
