Beautiful life

Happy Sunday crafty fellas,
As always my weekend filled with crafty moments. And I'm sure you do the same no matter where you live around the globe, am I right? :)

One "new" thing I realize this week: I am a rare species. I bet most of you doing scrapbooking activity with this passion: To give a unique memorabilia to your children. You scrap about your son's first smile, your daughter's first step, your third child's first tooth, or your grandson's first day at school. And I enjoy looking all your works. I feel your love on your page.

But what about me? Yes I am a married woman. But, me and my husband have decided not to have our own kid(s). Maybe someday we will adopt one or two unfortunate children. But it still looooong way to go. Not now. So, no kids means no grandkids and no great-grand kids. That makes me a rare species, right? I am a childless scrapbooker :)

So what to scrap? Absolutely my own beautiful life. My vacations, my cats and dog, my family, my husband, my home, my daily life, even my cup of coffee or any tiny piece of beauty I see. Scrapbook is my visual diary. Of everything.

Just like this page:
For some (or most) people, holding hands with spouse is a common gesture. But when we took a picture of two people holding hands or holding something together, it can be sweet and wonderful. One day, we went to an old ice cream restaurant. I simply enjoy our togetherness and the yummy ice cream. And our both hands holding the menu together, turns out to be a lovely photo to scrap :)

That's our hands :) Mine on the left with lots of bracelet and my hubby on my right, also wearing bracelet...LOL.

I use KaiserCraft's Sweet Nothing papers and stamp, Prima flowers, ribbon and doilies from local manufacturer. Here some close-ups:

I try to make a "beautiful" page with flowers and butterflies. I'm trying to say that I have a beautiful life. I have everything to be thankful. And my scrapbook pages are about my everyday life full of blessing :)

I would like to play on ScrapFriends sketch-challenge #1

Thank you for looking and reading. Have a wonderful life, fellas :)

And I ADORE the roses running right up the side of the page. Great job...& interesting about no children....but we all live life, so there's ALWAYS stuff going on to scrap, as I'm sure you know:):) Thanks for joining us at Scrap Friends:):)

  5. Absolutely you should scrap about your own beautiful life. Scrapbooking shouldn't be just be for parents! You've got your own story to tell and the people who love and care for you want to hear it just as much as any potential children. Not to mention just for your own benefit too! It's such good therapy hey? Thanks so much for joining in our sketch challenge at Scrap Friends.
