Not all those who wander are lost

Oh I'm so glad finally can post another piece of my creation here. Last week was very very busy days for me. Lots of interview to be done and writing stuff. But I love the hectic week, kinda remind me of my days as a journalist :) Yes, I have to admit I miss those days, but now I'm living my dream life, so why bother, right? :)

Today I want to share a special layout. The picture was taken about two years ago, when we still live on our capital city. One Sunday, my husband (at that time he's still my boyfriend) and I really don't have idea how to spent that day. We've watched all the box office movies, not in the mood for swimming or other sports, as well as going to shopping mall. Then we just wander around. Exploring the whole city on motorcycle, without an clear destination. We stop often to take photograph. One of our "pit stop" is the National Monument, we called it Monas. It's still early in the morning, so the sun isn't high yet. My hubby take a picture of me near the tall monument. I love this silhouette picture :) And this is my LO:
I use this wonderful sketch from Sketches in Thyme thursday-takes #75. It's a great sketch to start and very flexible to embellish. Love it so much :) And I also fall in love with My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart paper series. For this LO, I'm using "Be Amazing" Kraft Unique paper, love how it looks like recycled paper :)

And here's some details
That's me fellas :)

This lovely banner also from MME Follow Your Heart. Very cute, right???? I think I'm gonna buy another set of these papers :)

This cute vintage camera was downloaded from SweetlyScrappedArt.blogspot.com. Lots of cool freebies from that blog :)

I really don't want to throw up any part of this beautiful paper. This embellishments was taken from the bottom part which supposed to be cut and thrown. But I rescue them :)

My title: Not all those who wander are lost. Yes, Mr. Tolkien was right. In fact, some of the wanderer discover brand new things. At least, for me, this wandering thing discover a good picture to scrap :)

Have a good weekend crafty fellas....

Sketches in Thyme DT Calls

Happy Sunday crafty fellas :)
I had a perfect Sunday. First, in the morning I found my name being featured on Lasting Memories' April challenge. You may see that I display the badge on left side of my blog, along with link to the announcement if you click the badge :) I'm so excited. Then, my hubby and his latest band was practicing at a new music studio this morning. I joined them to take some photographs, and I got chance to sing few songs..LOL. After that, we went outside our village just to have lunch! What an exciting journey casing food..haha. In the afternoon, we jumped to the lake and have quite time swimming. A very perfect day!

And now, I want to post another excitement. Sketches In Thyme, a challenge blog that offers fun-lovely-challenging sketches, is calling some Sketchy Maven. Here's their post about this DT calls. This is a very sweet opportunity and I don't have any reason to miss this :)

Sketches In Tyme ask the applicants to create a new layout based on the sketch below:
And here's my take. Hope you all like it :)
I'm so excited to make this page. I love the sketch, very flexible so it makes endless possibilities. Besides, these are some of our pre-wedding shot back in 2010. The picture was taken in an old town. Love these pictures so much :) And I also fond of Simple Stories Documented paper series. A strong yet romantic paper.

Onto some details:
That's us, before we are husband and wife :)

I stamp my page's left side according to the sketch. It's Martha Stewart's clear stamp and VersaFine vintage sepia as the ink. This accent put more balance on my page :)

Vintage lamp chipboard to add the "old" scene to strengthen the picture. I'm not using any finishing accent to this chipboard, just let it raw and innocent :)

Metal embellishment on my title. Just love this metal flowers, I should buy a lot more :)

Love love love the journaling :)

The title: Forever love documented. Hope you enjoy as much as I do. See you on my next projects, dear crafty fellas :)

Beautiful morning

Happy Friday the 13th!
Noooo…I’m not making a dark-spooky-creepy page. The contrary, this weekend I make a page about one bright morning. I’m not welcoming spring here. Yes, we don’t have spring. I live in a tropical island where the sun shine so bright and rainy days occur often. But that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the warmth of sun in sunny days or the cool-comfy air when it’s raining outside. I enjoy them. A lot!

One morning, me, my hubby, and some friends having breakfast in a lakeside restaurant. The sight was amazing. Also the weather. I saw morning dew at first time and then thin rain came and suddenly I feel the breeze. What a very beautiful morning. Flowers are blooming and deep color of leaves fits perfectly. It is a dream breakfast, right?

So I made a page to remember that beautiful morning. You can see my self portrait wearing hooded jacket because my tiny body don’t tolerate well with cold air :)
I use American Crafts' Dear Lizzy Neapolitan series. Very cheerful and fresh papers.

Yep, that’s me, fellas!

This is the first detail I’d like to show you: Pinwheel! Yey…it’s my very first time using this embellishment and I fall in love to it! Really add the fun element to my page.

I arrange chipboard embellishment, flower, and banner between two pictures. And I use a lace to “hang” my picture and all the embellishments.

I put a white twine along the bottom page. Swirl and curl.

These cute Prima butterflies are gift from my friend Dita. They are so cute, right?

And here’s my other favorite detail: The title. I buy some plastic tag hanger (very cheap by the way), put wording in it, and then “hang” them with banner. Hope you like it.

Would like to play on Lasting Memories challenge#83 april-showers and also Frosted designs fabulous friday challenge: weather

See you on my next project. Have a sweet weekend :)

I got perfect skills!

Happy (belated) Easter everybody :)
Hope you all had fantastic last weekend dear crafty fellas. I really had a fabulous long weekend. Me, my hubby, and some friends took 600 kilometers journey to witness prehistoric caves and "kingdom of butterflies." I promise to share my story on my next post. Hope you will visit my blog again later this week.

Now, I finished a page dedicated to my hubby. Actually it's like an unfinished business. It's been so long since I want to make an LO that capture my hubby and his avid hobby: Playing guitar. He has a deep relationship with music and he's an excellent guitarist :)

Here's my LO
I use Simple Perfect's Awesome and Fabulous series. Another magnificent set of papers and I can't wait to create more pages :)

For the sketch, I use Frosted designs sketch #38. The first time I saw this sketch, I gleam happily. This sketch will absolutely fits my hubby's picture. Yey!!!

Take a closer look
I edited these two photos with Pixlr-o-matic. Really love this software. It's like an Instagram, without iPhone..LOL
Masking technique for my star-like shape :)

Chipboard with green patina perfect pearl accent.
I use lots of embellishments here. Banners, twine, pins, paper clips, buttons, and foam sticker.
